Start Running is a 12 week course where you will be introduced (or re-introduced) to the world of running with a goal of completing a 5K or 10K SARRC event at the end of the 12 week period.
Our Start Runners program provides a supportive, inclusive and non-judgmental environment to assist new and returning runners.
SARRC’s experienced coaches and instructors will support and encourage you to achieve your running goals. Training sessions will take you through the fundamentals of running and start with easy jogging to slowly build up your running skills each week.
Our aim is to help you to achieve your running goals – whatever these might be, e.g. improve self-confidence, have some much-needed ‘me’ time, run your first km without stopping, or work up to running 5K or 10K.
You must however be a SARRC Member (an insurance requirement). SARRC membership is great value. You will be entitled to 20% discount on registration when you take on the challenge of your first (and subsequent!) SARRC events.
If you are not already a member, you can join before you start (click on the button below) or take advantage of a temporary membership for up to 2 sessions - try before you buy.
Note: classes are flexible - if you can’t make it to every session – no problem!
