Greenbelt Update 28 July 2021
Unfortunately, the SARRC Board has had to postpone Greenbelt that had been tentatively rescheduled for this Sunday the 1st of August. SA Health have advised that under the SAPOL directive issued last night, the Greenbelt event is classed as competitive sport which is currently banned. This is understandable as SA has just left lockdown and there is still a risk of undetected virus lurking in the community. So, any gatherings of people, are best avoided at his time.
SARRC apologises for the late notification, but we live in challenging and changing times!
So that you don't miss out on this iconic Triple Crown Series event, SARRC is currently looking into the feasibility of holding the Greenbelt Challenge in place of our previously scheduled Glenelg Classic on the 14th November 2021. All entries will be automatically transfered to the new date in November. Further details will be sent out shortly.
Greenbelt Update 27 July 2021
From today’s media conference it seems that from tomorrow events under 1000 people will be permitted they comply with strict distancing and face mask requirements. To make sure we have asked SA Health to confirm this is the case. They, in turn, are waiting until tomorrow to check the wording of the official document that will be released late tonight.
So, hang in there and we hope that some time tomorrow we can announce a definite GO or NOGO for the Greenbelt events.

Gold Coast Pop-Up Run Cancelled
With great regret we have to CANCEL the Run tomorrow morning.
We have just been advised that as this run is not part of regular club activities, it is deemed to be an event and as such is not covered by our Club insurance and requires specific event Public Liability Insurance. It is impossible to get cover at such short notice and the volunteers involved in putting the run together cannot be expected to wear the liability.
We thank you for your interest and particularly thank the volunteers who put in so much effort, but with such short notice it was always going to be a challenge to tick all the boxes.
If you are coming click here No more inputs tonight.
